Our client loved their favorite 12oz glass beer bottles but had one common frustration — once opened, there was no easy way to reseal the bottle and keep it carbonated. Standard metal caps can’t be reused, and silicone stoppers often didn’t fit properly.

The Process: From Sketch to Functional Prototype
1. Concept & CAD Modeling
The client provided a rough sketch and a few reference images. Our team translated that idea into a 3D CAD model, optimizing the shape for a snug, pressure-tight fit.
2. Prototyping with 3D Printing
We printed multiple test versions using PETG for strength and durability, paired with a food-grade O-ring for an airtight seal.
After refining the design for easier on-and-off use, we finalized the geometry for smooth production.
3. Assembly & Finishing
The finished product included:
A custom 3D-printed cap body
A reusable O-ring for perfect sealing
Optional keychain ring attachment for convenience
Each unit was assembled, tested, and packaged by hand for quality control.
